Depth is the true protagonist of this work. A monumental arching form opens at the center of the composition, acting as a dark threshold into the unknown. The contrast is striking: the unfathomable blackness of the tunnel’s interior against the textured luminosity of the sky and the green planes suggesting a landscape of stylized hills.
It is a piece of landscape synthesis, where the architecture of the curve disrupts the horizontality of the surroundings.
