Néfeles presents a deeply symbolic scene in which six female figures, resembling classical sculptures, pour water from large amphorae against a backdrop of intense blue. The women, symmetrically arranged in two opposing rows, appear to emerge from the same pictorial plane with serenity and solemnity, evoking a sense of almost ritualistic balance.
Each figure holds an amphora from which fluid, luminous streams of water flow and intertwine at the center of the image, creating an undulating movement that contrasts with the marble-like stillness of their bodies. The water, painted with detail and dynamism, takes on a leading role—as a sacred, vital current that connects the figures in a continuous gesture of offering.
The deep blue background enhances the feeling of immensity and spiritual depth, while the classical aesthetic of the figures suggests a connection with the eternal, the divine, and the feminine in its purest form. The scene conveys an atmosphere of contemplation and harmony, where time seems suspended and water—symbol of life—flows as an invisible bond between all the women.
