A face that watches, but also allows itself to be watched. The steady, melancholic gaze of this female figure emerges through layers of paint and gestural strokes that seem to try to silence her, cover her, rewrite her. Núria Bosch constructs and deconstructs at once: the figurative coexists with the instinctive, the delicate with the wild.
Orange and red lines cross the portrait as if they were thoughts, emotions, or contained screams. There is no single interpretation, but rather a constant tension between beauty and chaos, between what is shown and what remains hidden beneath layers of color.
